ASCA's Expo Stand a Hit at the 2025 Avalon AirShow

7 April 2025

The 2025 Avalon Australian International AirShow was another exciting event for the Advanced Strategic Capabilities Accelerator (ASCA). ASCA showcased their commitment to fostering collaboration between Defence and industry to accelerate innovation into capability.

ASCA's expo stand was a hub of activity throughout the week. It attracted industry professionals and enthusiasts eager to learn about ASCA's cutting-edge programs: Missions, Innovation Incubation and Emerging Disruptive Technologies.

The ASCA team was eager to share insights into their work and to discuss how companies can connect with them.

Head of ASCA, Major General Hugh Meggitt, shared his unique insights on the critical role of ASCA and industry, speaking at one of the conferences during the AirShow.

“What I will ask of you all, is please don’t offer me something that doesn’t accord with the NDS’s intent or meet the needs of the warfighter,” Major General Meggitt said.

“Please focus on the problem statements that ASCA articulates, understand the priority areas that are key to Defence – which are outlined in the NDS and Defence Industry Development Strategy.

“And, in collaboration with each other, we can ensure that the capability needed today and tomorrow is available on time for those who need it.”

As the week drew to a close, it was clear that ASCA's work is more important than ever.

The 2025 Avalon Australian International AirShow was an incredible opportunity for ASCA to connect with industry professionals. They will continue to work together to deliver much-needed capabilities to the warfighter.
